Refund policy

We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased is defective or you received the wrong item due to an error on our end.

Cancellation of orders

Orders that are cancelled at a customer's request may be subject up to a 15% restocking fee. If the order is cancelled prior to being packaged, there is a 5% restocking fee applied to cover Shopify fees. If the order is cancelled after it has been packaged but before having a waybill printed, a 10% restocking fee will applied to cover Shopify fees and packing materials. If the order is cancelled after having a waybill attached but before Canada Post has collected it, there is a 15% restocking fee applied to cover Shopify fees, packing materials and waybill cancellation. Orders cannot be cancelled after they have been collected by Canada Post (Tuesday and Friday afternoons). You will be required to pay for return shipping and be subject to the standard 15% restocking fee, minus fees, fuel surcharges, shipping & insurance.


Damages and issues 

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. To be considered for refund or exchange, you must email us at info@sandylaneliquor.com within 30 days of receiving your order and include details and photos of the product and the defect or issue. If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace/exchange the product or refund the purchase price, using the original method of payment. We’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened and unused and in its original packaging. You may also be required to provide a receipt or proof of purchase. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 


We are unable to cover any losses or damages that may occur through third party couriers. Canada Post does NOT insure glass products, and any insurance that is promoted or implied through their services will not cover anything shipped in glass. We always do our absolute best to ensure your order is very well packaged and protected, but once the package leaves our store we are no longer liable for it. If you do not agree with this policy, we cannot ship to you. Sorry!

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
